They force stories on you

Im so sick of Snapchat forcing me to see stories I dont want to see. Everyday I open my app and at the top I have to see headlines of celebrity drama, biased political opinions, and inappropriate stories about what model showed "sideboob" this week. I have tried everything and apparently I cant hide or delete them.
I dont understand why we cant delete that whole top part with stories completely. I am ONLY interested in seeing stories from my friends and family. I do not care to see any of this junk Snapchat wants to force me to see.
